Hi, I'm Danielle. I help people build more confidence in themselves, make peace with their bodies, and improve their relationships. On the surface, you might hold it together pretty well. You try so hard to keep up in your classes, stay busy, and show up for your friends. The thing is, no one knows how overwhelmed, insecure, and lonely you really feel. There's a vague but heavy sense of self-doubt that interferes with your decisions, self-confidence, and relationships. On some level, you know there's got to be another way, and there IS! You can feel more peace, find your voice, build self-trust, and step into the life you actually want. I'd love to help you get there! My goal is to provide a safe space for you to feel like you can fully be yourself, process your experiences, and figure out how to become the best version of yourself. I believe therapy is tough, serious work, AND it can also be filled with laughter and lightness. I have worked extensively throughout my career with clients struggling with self-esteem, whether that shows up in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, or relationship/dating issues. We'll start by building insight and awareness around the patterns and behaviors you're struggling with. From there, we'll work to make the meaningful changes needed to build a life you're proud of and excited about. If this resonates with you, you're in the right place! You can learn more about me on my website or by reaching out to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation.

I specialize in relationship issues, breakups, and complex trauma processing, and I work with adult individuals and couples. Folks who struggle with boundaries, expressing needs, avoidance, anxiety, or managing conflict find our work rewarding. I'm especially passionate about supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and highly sensitive folks. I help clients process distress, foster meaningful connections, and build resiliency. I’m a humanistic, strengths-based therapist, which means I believe that you already have what you need within you to thrive. We'll work together to heal past wounds and uncover the authentic self that lies beneath. I'm trauma-informed and attachment-oriented, and often use IFS and EFT interventions. I focus on creating experiences in session where you can connect to your body, emotions, and parts of yourself you’ve kept hidden, even from yourself. If you’re journeying as a couple, this may look like learning to connect in more vulnerable ways. Reaching out to a new therapist can feel daunting, and I get how important it is to find someone who feels right for you. I’m here to help you figure out what you really need and how we can make that happen together. I’m excited to meet you and help you find the trust, confidence, and peace of mind you deserve.

We have a diverse group of therapists that include female and male providers, as well as providers that are part of different minority populations such as LGBTQIA, age groups, and ethnic backgrounds. We are partnered with many PCPs, Psychiatrists, OBGYNS, Pediatricians and other providers in the area to assist with connecting you to other providers that may be needed for your treatment, as well as allows for continuity of care and collaboration for a well-rounded approach to your health. We also have wonderful relationships with local schools, attorneys, mediators, real estate agents, community resources, etc. to assist with other factors that may be present in your life. We believe in a systemic approach to your treatment because we recognize that external factors may be impacting your mental health, which allows us to assist with connecting you to needed resources.

All of us face times when life brings more than we can manage alone. Asking for help—even when asking is hard—is the first step toward a different experience. I have faced my own struggles, and I find deep joy and fulfillment in walking with others on their journeys toward healing, connection, and reawakened hope. As a mental health therapist, I support my clients to grow and thrive, to move toward what wellness means to them, and to deepen their connections both to others and to their own strengths and resources. Above all, I prioritize building a safe therapist-client relationship in which clients feel seen, respected, empowered, and welcomed as their full and authentic selves. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and experiential. In our counseling sessions, we will work together collaboratively to identify your goals for therapy and agree on strategies to move toward them. We may explore your thoughts, beliefs, and stories, your emotions, your body’s wisdom, and your creativity during our time together. We won’t just talk about what’s wrong—we’ll actively practice ways of making it better. Throughout it all, we’ll make sure our work together feels safe, supportive, and truly helpful to you. Whether you are facing the challenges of everyday life, navigating change and uncertainty, healing from deeper traumas and self-protective patterns, or seeking greater safety and security within relationships, I would be honored to support you.

I'm Jess, and I am a queer neurodivergent therapist who practices LGBTQIA+ friendly, Autistic and ADHD affirming, and trauma-informed therapy. It's my passion to support folks who are feeling the weight of shame and self-doubt, questioning where they belong/who they are, and struggling in their relationship with food and body. I know how painful it can be to feel out of place and like you're trying to fit into a mold that just doesn't feel right for you, so it's important to me to cultivate a space where you can feel like it's celebrated to be you. In our space, there is no such thing as being "too sensitive" or "too much." I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, so my work is grounded in developing compassionate, trusting relationships with clients. I prioritize being mindful of how my privileged identities, including being white and thin, impact the therapeutic relationship. I am committed to engaging in ongoing anti-oppressive learning outside of sessions. In therapy, I incorporate somatic and relational approaches, including Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR. I strongly believe in client autonomy and respect for the different ways we all adapt to find safety and connection. If you long for more peace in your relationship with yourself and others, please reach out!

We live in a culture that constantly pushes us to do more, work harder, and question whether we’re ever “enough.” For many students, that pressure leads to stress, anxiety, and burnout. But thriving isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about finding balance, clarity, and a stronger sense of who you are and what you need. This work often extends into your relationships, your identity, and your sense of direction. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, explore what’s weighing on you, and develop a more grounded, sustainable way forward.

Hey and Welcome! As a therapist, my goal is to create an emotionally safe space, that is intersectional and inclusive, to pursue personal healing and self-discovery. Through our work, we will identify how the experiences you have had in your life have impacted who you are in this world and how you relate to others. We will explore the emotional, mental, and systemic barriers that get in the way of evolving into the person you'd ideally like to be, while simultaneously developing a deep respect and reverence for the various versions of you over time that were forced to be resilient through difficult and challenging circumstances. I support clients who are seeking coping tools to create and maintain a sense of emotional stability. My clients are often pursuing healing from trauma, whether it be attachment based childhood trauma or a specific and recent traumatic experience. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ folx, women, and various issues that impact folx of the global majority. Therapy invites us to take up space, prioritize caring for ourselves, and create a life that feels worth living. Seeking support is not an easy decision and the fact you've made it this far is significant. If you'd like to learn more about me, the work I do, and my approach to therapy, please reach out to schedule a consultation appointment.

Something feels off, and you can't quite name it. You're doing everything you were supposed to do, but the life you're living doesn't feel fully like yours. You look around and it seems like everyone else found their footing, their person, their purpose. And quietly, you've started to wonder: Why not me? What am I missing? The gap between where you are and where you thought you'd be by now can feel like failure, even when, logically, you know it isn't. You're measuring yourself against a timeline you didn't write, comparing your insides to everyone else's outsides, and coming up short every time. The loneliness isn't just about being single or not having the career you wanted. It's the disconnection from yourself, from knowing who you are and what you actually want, separate from what you were always told to want. You don't need to have it all figured out. But you do deserve to feel at home in your own life, curious about where you're going rather than ashamed of where you are. You deserve to trust yourself again. I work with women who are navigating that in-between, exploring who they are, longing for real connection, and untangling the anxiety that comes with feeling behind. Together, we'll loosen the grip of comparison, get clear on what you actually value, and help you build a life that feels genuinely yours, not a performance of what it was supposed to look like. I offer online therapy in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. If this sounds like you, please reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation!

Thank you for being here - I know how vulnerable it can be searching for a counselor during life's most difficult moments. I respect your courage in seeking support and reaching out. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and emotional management, especially anger. As a clinically trained body-mind therapist, my focus is on mindfulness and present-moment awareness. I believe in growth within safe, non-judgmental relationships where you feel empowered to experience new perspectives, opportunity, and healing. In session I am present-focused, transparent, and relational. My approach is rooted in trust and collaboration. I value authenticity, and bring myself into our sessions. I offer tools and techniques designed to connect your thoughts to your emotions, then creating action. I have developed a robust set of resources that are available to all of my clients. I am an advocate for healthy manhood and a proponent of simple living. I carry a strong connection to the outdoors. My therapeutic support dog, Joe, may be a part of our sessions. Welcome to Saltmarsh Counseling! As a native of the area and lover of the everything coastal, I relate therapy to the salt marsh. Many are not aware of the essential role the salt marsh plays and the wealth of benefits it provides. A few important attributes include maintaining healthy water quality and reducing pollution by acting as a filter, protecting us from flooding and erosion by creating a buffer to protect from storm surge, and providing a nursery and safe haven for commercial and recreational fisheries. Like the salt marsh, therapy acts as a filter for individuals working through the challenging aspects of mental illness, relationships, and life transitions. The therapeutic setting provides a safe space to be vulnerable, to learn healthy coping skills, to gain self-awareness, and to evolve as a person.
