My style is warm, practical, and rooted in feminist thinking. We'll set clear goals, notice patterns, and build skills that work for you and your life. We'll keep what works and leave what doesn't to support you as you shift into whatever comes next. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism and OCD. Supporting young people and their families has always been at the heart of my work. I am committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive mental health care. Having grown up and trained in Boston, I am proud to serve the community that is my home. Creating a space where you feel heard, safe, and supported is critical to my practice. Whether we are navigating a new diagnosis, exploring medication options or working to better understand your thoughts and behavioral patterns, we will work together to find an approach that works for you. Education is the backbone of my practice so you feel informed and empowered to make the best decision for you or your child. My goal is to provide you with tools to build insight and coping skills to better support yourself in your mental health journey.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental opportunity to reflect on what is going on for you and what you can do about it. Navigating life is hard. Transitions, losses, relationships, economic pressure, depression, anxiety, trauma, and everything else that comes with being human can be difficult to manage under any circumstances. We all need new approaches sometimes. As we get to know each other, we will draw from a variety of therapies based on what makes sense for you. One size does not fit all! I would welcome the chance to help you consider what to do with your one precious life. I know it takes courage to reach out to a therapist, whether you have had therapy in the past or not. Just know I'll always be glad to hear from you.
Seeking psychotherapy is a big step. I strive to provide a warm, accepting, and safe space where students can freely explore their experiences and emotions. Guided by our understanding of your unique story, we will come up with a personalized way of working together to meet your goals. I work with students who are navigating relationships with mentors, friends, and romantic partners, and grappling with questions of identity and career. I also see students struggling with serious mental health issues such as depression, anxiety/panic, and trauma. I was trained at Veterans' Affairs medical centers in treating PTSD, and my graduate training focused on issues of religion and identity.
Are you looking for a warm, supportive, and safe space to heal anxiety, depression, ADHD, or deal with a overwhelm, a transition, or relationships? Are you struggling at school because of these issues? Are you worried about your next steps after graduation? I can help you claim the happiness you deserve. If you're ready to be happier, I can help you get the tools you need to create the life you deserve.
Life often presents us with challenges that can be difficult to cope with alone. Whether these struggles come from our work, school, relationships or family dynamics, psychotherapy is often where solutions can be found. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we can unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I am available to work with you to achieve your goals. Know that you are not alone.

You feel trapped in thinking again and again about the same issue? You find yourself repeating same behavioral patterns? You live in self-judgment, guilt, sadness, and lack of good sleep? Does this all make you feel as you are not good enough and you should please others to be liked? And then the perceived failure as a partner, parent or a friend? Collaboratively, we can create a safe space to help you feel your feelings; increase your awareness; understand relationship patterns; and develop strategies to cope at home, work and in society. I provide individual therapy for people experiencing communication issues, anxiety, grief, school burnout, self esteem, peer relationships and women's issues. Specifically, I am interested in mindfulness, self-compassion, psychodynamic therapy, expressive arts therapy, hypnosis, cognitive-behavioral modalities (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy.
