Hi, I'm Rebecca and I'm so glad you're here. I love supporting students of all ages and young adults in graduate school, college, and high school, as you're navigating through life transitions, relationships, and mental health challenges. I have worked at many college counseling centers and know how important and intense these years are for students. I work to provide a safe, collaborative landing space for you to find your voice; learn new ways of being, with yourself and with others; process pain and loss; manage and understand your anxiety and feel empowered and grounded in your life. I approach therapy from a humanist and relational orientation that focuses on your individual strengths. I often help clients with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, family relationships, identity development, work/school-life balance, ADHD/ADD, self-esteem, sexual identity, relationships, and grief. I'm also passionate about helping clients who identify as motherless daughters as well as student-athletes.
Life is challenging and trying to figure out who you are, where you are going and what your purpose is, is hard enough. Then we throw in friendships, romantic relationships, careers and family dynamics and we can get overwhelmed so easily. In therapy we work together to find clarity. I have significant experience helping young adults in their 20s and 30s to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression by exploring relationship and work difficulties, figuring out adulthood, and navigate feeling lost amongst your peers. I work with college students and young professionals navigating young early adulthood. Where we go in therapy depends on you. I take my expertise and knowledge and tailor it to meet your personal needs and what would bring you relief. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which is rooted in mindfulness and self-compassion with a focus on living a life that makes you feel fulfilled. Whether this is your first time looking for a therapist or you've traveled down this road before, good for you. Asking for help requires courage. If you are looking to work with a therapist that will be interactive, non-judgmental, empathic and kind, reach out to see if we are a good fit. We will set up at 10minute call to see if we are good fit!
For over 25 years I have worked as a social worker, life coach and therapist with children, adolescents and adults. Since I was a child I knew that I wanted to be a counselor helping others in their time of need. At some point in life's journey you may experience a time where you feel you may benefit from some extra support and guidance, let me help you on the road to hope and healing. I believe in a mutual therapeutic relationship working together as a team towards the client's goals. Starting therapy and sharing issues that have become challenging is a hard and yet courageous step in your healing process. As a therapist I am honored to be able to share in this journey and hold the emotions that come with this. I consider myself to be an eclectic therapist, taking into consideration the individuals uniqueness and needs before implementing techniques and strategies. I use an honest and direct approach in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. With the help of different modalities CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and EMDR I can help you find a path toward inner peace and joy.
Transitions: An Athletic and Life Skills Program was developed in July 1999 because of the need to educate individuals across the life span of the strategies and skills used for successful transitions in life. Individuals already possess the skills that are needed. However, they may be unaware of their own strategies and/or their skills are not fully developed. Through my counseling services and the life skills program, needs of the individual are met by utilizing individual or group counseling sessions, couples, marriage or family counseling, workshops, speaking engagements and/or group/team building exercises with all being provided with personal attention. In 2007, the company name was changed to Transitions Counseling Service and Life Skills Program. Hello and thank you for reading my bio. I am a clinician who values helping people uncover things about themselves and helping people realize that there is always hope for a fulfilling life. I work with people who have many different problems they may be facing. I mainly work with individuals with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma etc. Oftentimes, I will work with people who have a combination of these. Whether you have anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, a personality disorder, have experienced trauma or an eating disorder etc. I can help you manage these things while you are in college. College can be stressful all on its own and it is important to make time for our mental health through this. I know, therapy can be scary for many people and that is why I work to create a warm environment for everyone. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative relationship, which is why you and I will work together to find the best treatment approach for you.
If you struggle with self-esteem, managing emotions, boundaries in relationships, or you've survived a traumatic childhood or young adulthood, I may be a good fit for you. Abusive or neglectful experiences from our past can impact our self-worth, our capacity to cope with stress, and our ability to feel safe connecting with others. I specialize in working with people who have had trauma in their lives or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, whether in your childhood, in a relationship, or due to COVID or another recent isolated experience. I offer weekly therapy as well as skills training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I see therapy as a resource for you, a way to find coping skills that actually work for you. You can learn to shift the way you respond to stress & let go of unhelpful patterns. My other areas of expertise: working with young adults facing anxiety, depression, or difficult life transitions, & people facing the challenges of pregnancy and/or new parenthood. I'm committed to helping you heal. Through our work together, I will help you find compassion, respect and forgiveness for yourself. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples grow and thrive, improving communication, working through trauma, and identifying and achieving goals. I understand that seeking therapy can be daunting, but there is hope. Whether you are experiencing relationship issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, low self-esteem, grief/loss, larger existential exploration or questions of identity, you don't have to work through it alone.
The stories we believe about ourselves are essential, and yet, they are stories we are often unaware of. You may have decided to seek treatment because you (or someone in your life) noticed something about you or how you live in the world that has been difficult, like feeling disappointed in yourself or others, and this may have impacted things like your schoolwork or your relationships. Whatever the difficulties are, these are themes in your story -- we would work together to make sense of them, and see what we can do about them. The possibilities may include things like psychotherapy (talk therapy) or medications, both of which are treatment options I offer in my psychiatry practice. Because I think it is essential to treat you as a whole person, I am only accepting new patients who are interested in psychotherapy (typically at least weekly), either with me in my practice, or with a therapist with whom I have a working relationship. As a physician (medical doctor) specialized in psychiatry, I draw on years of dedicated training for your treatment; qualifying as a psychiatrist entails, after completion of a bachelor's degree, eight years of full-time medical education, including six years of supervised, direct patient care in a variety of treatment settings. To learn more about my practice or to request a phone call to discuss a consultation visit, please visit my practice website, www.terrafirmapsychiatry.com.

Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, unmotivated, stuck in your own head, or caught in patterns you can’t quite break. Whether the challenges are loud or subtle, what matters is that they’ve brought you here. You’re looking for a therapist who listens without judgment, who radiates warmth, and who offers practical tools to help.

Relationships and experiences impact who we are as individuals, partners, and members of groups. Our relational patterns are encoded within us and shape our sense of self as well as the ways we relate to those around us. Things we avoid thinking about or addressing have a habit of emerging again and again. Therapy can help to illuminate, reflect on, process, and metabolize thoughts and feelings that may be preventing us from living the lives we want. I offer a supportive approach to help you manage anxiety, ease fear, and develop tools to build resilience. The transition away from home and into college comes with a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Many students struggle with anxiety and depression, making social connections, managing academic stress, navigating a new school culture, leaving relationships from home, and more. I've partnered with students and families in local independent schools for almost 20 years in addition to working more recently with dozens of students in counseling and psychological services in a rigorous college setting.
Therapy is an opportunity to alleviate emotional pain and also a safe space to reflect and grow. When seeking therapy, many people might be unsure of what they want and afraid of the uncertainty. My hope is to help you walk through a healthy perspective to replenish a meaningful and rewarding life where you could see yourself more completely and inspire yourself to be the calm within the storm. With a compassionate, non-judgmental, and psychologically mindful space, I hope you will feel deeply understood and optimistic. I work from a genuine, authentic and collaboratively open style. My work is tailored to each client’s needs and presenting problems. During our sessions, we may focus on discovering new coping strategies to manage problems, widening your perspective, providing tools to overcome stressors, facilitate insight as well as promoting self-care and resiliency. Having an international background, I value diversity and I am deeply attuned to your unique social and cultural identity and its effect on your individuality, sense of purpose and meaning in life. Currently, I am a full-time Staff Psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania, Counseling and Psychological Services. Check my WEBSITE for more information!
