Hi! I’m Camryn, a dedicated clinical mental health counselor with a passion for holistic, trauma-informed care. I aim to create a safe, supportive space for the “misfits”—individuals who are often labeled “too sensitive,” experience intense emotions, or struggle with a sense of belonging. I enjoy working with individuals on issues including self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, grief, identity exploration, emerging adulthood, and complex trauma. I also enjoy working with artists and athletes. As a certified yoga instructor, I prioritize the mind-body connection and respect the body’s intuitive wisdom. My colleagues often describe me as exceptionally warm and welcoming. I am currently accepting new clients and am humbled and honored to walk beside you in your journey to healing

Hi, I'm Shannon, and welcome to Cornerstone Wellness! As a therapist, I am to help you harness your natural strengths to foster positive change. I believe in creating a supportive and safe environment to help build resilience and process emotions. I utilize a warm and lighthearted approach and adapt therapeutic methods to fit your unique needs. I pull from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. I primarily work with teens and young adults to address issues including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation and self-harm, life changes, and family conflict. Reaching out for support takes courage and it would be an honor to walk through life's ups and downs with you.
My therapeutic approach is humanistic and combines creative expression with elements of CBT, DBT, and ACT. While my specialization is in Art Therapy, I am also trained in traditional counseling, Sports Counseling, and Adoption Competency and will work with you to decide what will best support you and your treatment goals. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and day-to-day life stressors and transitions, as well as children and adolescents living with chronic pain and illness. My other experience involves individual, group, and familial support in medical, residential, and educational settings. I aim to provide a calm, relaxing, and inviting environment.
Many of my clients are making exciting but often daunting transitions -- either from Jr High to High School, High School to College, or whatever comes next. Change is so often viewed with anxiety and negativity. Yet, change is happening all around us every day. How can we make change a positive experience in our lives? How can we choose to change something that is not working? How can we learn and grow from a challenging experience? As a counselor, I believe my job is to create a space where clients can explore these and other topics, in a way that ultimately positively impacts their day to day lives. I have 10+ years of professional experience working with adolescents and adults in outreach and community based organizations. I have a client centered, strengths-based approach to my work that integrates Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that it is critical that the client takes an active role in the counseling process. My clients face a range of life’s challenges: depression, anxiety, peer conflict, communication, transition to college/work, enhancing self-awareness, relationship/family dynamics (separation/divorce), grief, and autism or attention deficit/executive functioning challenges. I work primarily with young adults and their families, adults, parents and couples.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, clear, and confident in your next steps.
I work with students who struggle with managing their emotional, behavioral, and social needs. The therapeutic relationship is extremely important in my practice, as I believe that we need to work together in order to meet your goals and improve your overall quality of life. I will always bring honesty and compassion into our sessions. I utilize various approaches and interventions to target each individual's needs and to create the best treatment for you. I utilize techniques from CBT, ACT, and mindfulness practices. However, I tailor my practice and choose interventions that best suit your symptoms. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, relationship difficulties, and depression. I am offering and accepting referrals for ADHD neuropsychological testing as well. Feel free to reach out to me directly by phone or email to see if we would be a good fit. I offer in person and virtual sessions. I feel the most important aspect of counseling is the relationship between the counselor and client. If we are able to create a genuine relationship that is grounded in authenticity and trust, we can further your understanding of yourself, your experiences, and how you engage with the world. I aim to help people by cultivating a safe environment where thoughts and emotions can be deeply felt, and where we can discover what steps you can take in your life that better align with your values. Through counseling, we can learn how to acknowledge thoughts, feelings, and past experiences without having them overwhelm or define us. I believe that the present is the most important time to be in; however, many things from the past (or even the future) can hold us back from experiencing what is going on around us. When we are able to process our past and our future, we are finally able to connect with the current moment we are living in. I have worked with people experiencing different challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, interpersonal stress, and identity/self-esteem issues. Ultimately, I am passionate about working with anyone who feels “stuck” and wants to find meaning in their life. Moving forward is possible, no matter how long you have felt stagnant.
College can be an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be juggling academic pressure, relationships, identity questions, family expectations, or uncertainty about the future. Maybe you notice patterns in your relationships that don’t feel good, feel stuck in anxiety or low mood, or are struggling to cope with stress, loss, or change. If you’re looking for support, insight, and practical tools to help you feel more grounded and connected, therapy can be a meaningful place to start. I approach therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, creating a space that is accepting, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Together, we’ll work to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while developing skills to navigate challenges more effectively. As you build awareness and learn to relate to yourself with greater kindness and presence, you may feel more confident handling stress, setting boundaries, and making choices that align with your values. I work with college students, adolescents, and adults. My primary approach, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), is especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, academic stress, and relationship concerns. I also have experience working with trauma, addiction, and gambling-related issues. My goal is to support you in developing resilience, strengthening your sense of identity, and creating a college experience—and life beyond campus—that feels more balanced, meaningful, and authentic.
Therapy should provide a safe space free from judgment where you can seek support, be genuine, feel heard and grow into the person you want to be. In sessions, we will work together to identify your unique abilities, strengths and successes. We will explore how to use those strengths and abilities to process past events, feel better, achieve your goals and live a life that feels meaningful to you. My integrative approach is strengths based and person centered with elements of evidence based approaches including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and EMDR. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, depression, parenting issues, life transitions, effects of trauma and relationship struggles. I am trained in EMDR via EMDR Consulting, an EMDR International Association Approved Training Provider. I look forward to meeting with you!
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, particularly experiences related to family of origin and attachment. While I work with adults of all ages, I have a special interest in supporting emerging adults - including college, graduate, and medical students - as they manage the emotional and relational challenges that can arise during these stages of life. I support clients in addressing current life challenges while also seeking to answer questions about why these challenges exist in the first place. I do this through a collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed approach that blends deeper insight with practical support. Drawing from psychodynamic and attachment-based work, along with CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and build skills that support meaningful, lasting change. Starting therapy can feel uncertain, and it’s completely normal to have questions or mixed emotions. Please know you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out to see if we would be a good fit.
