Hi there! My vision of successful therapy is that you feel at home in yourself and maintain that center as you engage with the world around you. You will experience more ease, compassion, connection, balance, expansiveness, and a clarity about who you are and where you stand in relation to the experiences that brought you to therapy to begin with. Your issues may include not feeling like yourself, feeling stuck, grieving a loss, feeling flat, numb, or disconnected, sensing that something is missing or off, struggling with identity or life transitions, being in need of support in parenting, or just sensing that this is important somehow. Our work will bring you back to your center, wholeness, and new possibilities by providing corrective and missing experiences, acceptance, and connection through mindful, experiential, supportive and body-based therapies. The relationship between a therapist and client is the foundation of transformation and I invite inquiries to see if we could be a good fit for one another.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, embracing diversity in all its forms. My approach is firmly rooted in anti-racism, LGBTQ+ affirmation, and gender inclusivity, while actively promoting neurodiversity acceptance. My spiritually open mindset allows me to respect and explore various belief systems. Drawing from extensive clinical experience, I empower clients to navigate and challenge oppressive systems that often underlie emotional distress. My commitment to inclusive practices ensures that each individual's intersecting identities are acknowledged and valued throughout our work together. I create a safe space for clients of all body types and sexual expressions, maintaining a sex-positive and kink-friendly stance. In my therapeutic practice, I bring my whole, authentic self to every session. As an intuitive feeler (INFJ), I approach my work with a deep sense of empathy and insight. My core values significantly shape my therapeutic style, with a strong emphasis on fostering creativity, ensuring safety, upholding integrity, and embracing new experiences that catalyze positive change. I particularly value the development of relational depth in therapy, believing that a strong, genuine connection between therapist and client is fundamental to the healing process. This authentic approach allows me to create a space where clients feel truly seen, understood, and supported as they navigate their personal growth journey.

The clients I work best with are ready to take an attitude of curiosity and reflection towards the patterns and beliefs that no longer serve them. You may be experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, or relationship stress and are hoping to relate to emotions in a healthier way or gain new self-perspective. Whether it is your first time in therapy or are returning to address matters from a new light, I believe in the innate wisdom of each person and approach our work humbly.

Marriage & Family Therapist
Beaverton, OR

When therapy is conducted in a safe and warm environment, and a client or couple or family feels heard and understood without judgment, it can be an incredibly powerful tool in providing healing and growth for life's difficult past experiences and current challenges. As a strengths-based and client-centered Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with a client's existing internal strengths to partner with them to create goals that build towards healing, growth, awareness, and positive change. My clinical experience and specialization has included Couples Therapy, CBT, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals and couples, Trauma informed therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Family Systems Theory, and Attachment Theory. I work with couples, adults, adolescents, and families. Starting therapy can be overwhelming and anxiety producing. My goal is to immediately build a safe place and therapeutic connection with you, and remove some of the anxiety that can often be part of reaching out and pursuing counseling.

Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc. (EEC Inc.)'s Equine-Assisted Mental Health (EAMH) Treatment for Stability and Wellness Clinical Program is a behavioral health program offering outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups. Equine-Assisted Mental Health (EAMH) is a specialized psychotherapy treatment that incorporates equines into the therapeutic environment. It is a form of animal-assisted therapy (AAT) that integrates the human–animal bond and relationship with a horse as part of treatment and recovery in psychotherapy. EAMH treatment is an interactive process in which a licensed mental health professional working with or as an appropriately credentialed equine professional partners with suitable equine(s) to address psychotherapy goals set forth by the mental health professional and the client. EAMH is all about learning how to communicate, interact, and connect with horses directly and indirectly during psychotherapy work. Horses are beautiful and novel creatures that may help reduce stigma of psychotherapy, reduce barriers of those who do not do well or do not want to participate in office-based therapy. In turn, they may help to normalize the therapy process through in-person physical interaction and presence with horses. At EEC Inc., EAMH clinical psychotherapy interventions provided include psychosocial techniques (interpersonal interaction, learning experiences, role playing practice, relationship building, and coping skills) to reduce distress, maladaptive behavior, and psychological and psychiatric problems and to enhance adaptive functioning and positive experiences in everyday life. -Strong focus on present-moment awareness, experiential learning, and the integration of the mind-body-spirit connection. -Way to work in relationship building -Real-time learning through experience Clinician: Dr. Rebecca Wara-Goss, LMFT, Ph.D., CTRI, ESMHL, is the Founder/Executive Director of Eudaemonia Equine Connections, Inc., Lead Therapist for equine-assisted mental health (EAMH) direct clinical services; and principal researcher and consultant for EAMH research design and consultation services. Being part of the interconnected natural world, we thrive in connection, and without connection, we wither. In our work together we will collaborate in understanding what makes you come alive and wither, to look for ways to get unstuck and make meaning of your emotions, reactivity, and suffering. I believe that individuals and families can tap into their inner strength to repair and grow new resilience with guidance and support. My role is to restore balance, build communication, and provide support to help you create space to learn and integrate new skills with new perspectives as they thrive in connection. I am here to create a space for you to explore, to collaborate with you to make meaning of your challenges and stories. I am a systemic and integrated therapist using various modalities to look at every aspect of a person’s life to understand their lived experiences better. I am trained to utilize EMDR to help with PTSD and other trauma-related disturbances. Being an immigrant myself, raising children, and building a place of my own as a BIPOC therapist while navigating different life stages and challenges, I am familiar with the tension that arises from differences in cultural/generational values and bicultural experiences. Ultimately, I want to support and empower you on your journey to be you. Additionally, I have 20 years of experience as a teacher of K-12 & College-age students to draw on to help me in our collaboration. Contact me, now!
