I’m deeply passionate about working with teens and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or neurodivergence. I understand that navigating these challenges can feel incredibly overwhelming and isolating. My clients often come to me feeling stuck and uncertain, desiring clarity and a sense of direction. They are eager to grow and find their path, yet they may not have the tools or support they need to make this vision a reality. My role is to walk alongside them with empathy and patience, helping them build confidence and resilience. Together, we work to uncover their unique strengths and develop strategies that honor their individual experiences and aspirations. My goal is to provide a supportive space where they can explore their feelings, discover their authentic selves, and move forward with hope and purpose.

Here at Built for Mental WELLNESS, we are serious about helping you live authentically and develop tolerance for life’s stressors. There are many frameworks for therapy and ways to problem-solve issues. However, your growth is to be your growth and utilizing the “right” structure takes understanding. Allow me to be an instrument along your journey in wellness, growth, and overall empowerment. The mission of Built for Mental WELLNESS is to achieve and realize wellness. To define wellness as a state of good health leaves many domains in question; such as physical, spiritual, social, medical, and mental health sub-types. When linking with Built for Mental WELLNESS, your wellness will be catered to as an active pursuit, ever-changing, and ever-evolving over time. This is reminiscent of the human process…ever-changing and ever-evolving. Together we will define wellness for you, your family, and relationships. I specialize in meeting with people experiencing anxiety, attention difficulty, impulsive/risk-taking behaviors, depression, and interpersonal conflict. My first priority is in collaborating with my clients to create spaces where change feels possible. I am especially attentive to the ideas of reducing stigma surrounding mental health care, trust associated with strict confidentiality, and increasing motivation using strengths- and evidence-based techniques. I bring an integrative approach to therapy, combining aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and DBT (including Mindfulness) to find the best way forward for each client. I have experiences working with clients of all ages, across different clinical settings. I spent much of the past decade living and working overseas, managing an Eco-Lodge in northern Malawi, teaching English at a hagwon in South Korea, and working remotely as a therapist from Brazil. I enjoy playing basketball, reading (mostly sci-fi!), rock climbing, and managing far too many podcast subscriptions.

It can be a challenge to find your center or balance when everything around you seems to be out of your control. Things are happening so fast and it can be scary. Searching for your true self in a world that adds filters to glamorize everyday life is a struggle. It can be difficult to find the balance between assertiveness, passiveness, honesty and consideration. Therapy is a space that is yours to discover answers to the questions that keep you up at night or cause you to overthink an "awkward" encounter with someone. Therapy is a safe and confidential space to explore who you are; to name, understand and better manage emotions. Take the opportunity to seek growth in your personal, professional, academic and/or romantic life. We can identify reasonable boundaries and coping strategies that support your mental and emotional well-being. You can let go of feeling misunderstood, underestimated, unseen or lost. Because you are worthy. So, let's find your light together. It is hard to trust a stranger to take this journey with you; therapists are special kind of people. Our job is to help others and provide a space that is nurturing to your needs. You deserve to take advantage of that. I invite you to call or send an email anytime. We can schedule a free consultation to help determine if I am the right fit for you.

I specialize in working with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, past traumas, disordered eating, confidence, feeling overwhelmed, or feeling inadequate. Some of my clients describe themselves as a "perfectionist". It’s exhausting trying to maintain the standards you hold yourself to when internally you’re feeling like things are falling apart. I take an empathetic and non-judgmental approach that creates a safe and warm environment allowing you to explore past traumas, feeling overwhelmed, anxious or inadequate. Please visit my website for more information. My practice offers a sanctuary for individuals who have endured past traumas or abuse, and for those who habitually set aside their own needs to care for others. I understand the profound frustration that arises when situations feel beyond your control. Through a blend of therapeutic approaches including CBT and evidence based somatic techniques, we'll explore the patterns that aren't working for your lifestyle anymore. Together, we'll work to uncover and address the roots of your challenges. My goal is to empower you to embrace vulnerability as a strength, enabling a transformative journey towards a more balanced, fulfilling life. Let's connect and build a genuine and authentic relationship that allows you to feel safe enough to be vulnerable.

I am an associate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who sees teens and young adults adults facing a variety of challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationship issues, life changes and interpersonal conflict. My passion is working with student athletes. As a high school and travel softball coach of several years, I am uniquely qualified in helping young individuals develop mental health skills they can carry with them throughout life, both on and off the field/court. I see the concerns and needs of teens to be unique and require a different approach than one I may take with adults. Overall, I find it important to see individuals for all that they are, helping them to create their identity and see the value within themselves as a person and not just in what they do or how they perform. All people, but especially young people, want to feel heard and seen. I prioritize authenticity and relationship with clients - working to create a comfortable space of trust, understanding, and growth.
