Therapy enables us to heal ourselves and sharpen access to our wisest intuition. As your therapist, I will provide a comfortable space for self-reflection, where you will come to understand yourself at the deepest level. In our work together, you will learn to nurture yourself as you build inner strength and serenity. I’ve worked in community mental health, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient treatment centers, and private practice. Driven by curiosity, empathy, and integrity, my approach is built on the belief that every person is capable of growth. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling seen and understood, and to end therapy as your most authentic self. Though there is always darkness in life, I believe light can be found by those who want to see it. I am not afraid of the dark. Bring me your darkness—your pain, your confusion, your hurt—and we will walk together as you find your guiding lights.

I provide therapy in English and Mandarin and bring a multicultural perspective and psychodynamic approach to create a warm, supportive space for exploration and growth. My goal is to help my clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to reconnect with themselves and others. With years of post-graduate training at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP) and the Psychodynamic Institute of New England (PINE), I blend thoughtful insight with compassionate guidance. You feel anxious and it’s hard to shut your brain off. People tell you to relax, but it’s not that easy for you. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, but it’s hard to sit back and enjoy it. Your standards for yourself feel too high, and you question how long you can keep this up. You tend to doubt yourself and your abilities and look to other people to reassure you. It’s hard to take up space, feel confident, and speak your truth. You want to feel present in your life and like you’re able to love and appreciate yourself just as you are. You want to feel confident, courageous, and like you are able to advocate for yourself. You want to feel happy, calm, and at peace with your life, your relationships, and your career. I specialize in working with young adults with anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism to build self-confidence and live a life they love. A better future is possible, and I'm here to help you create it. I can’t wait to hear from you, send me an email or call me to schedule a free phone consultation.
I've been in practice for several decades. I have a special interest in helping people with anxiety, but do work with people with a variety of other problems as well. I like my patients and enjoy my work.
I'm a Boston-based therapist who works with young adults and adolescents. I specialize in treating trauma and all the stuff that comes with it- bad moods, anxiety, explosive anger, poor self-esteem, sadness- you name it. I teach people skills to help them feel better in the moment while guiding them on a path of long-term healing. I'm certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and also trained with the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis. I meet with people both in-person and virtually, and I speak English and Spanish. My approach to therapy is guided by what my clients are looking for and needing most. Therapy can- and should- be tailored to your styles of communication and expression. Maybe this means you'd like a lot of structure in your sessions- using worksheets to track and review anxious thought patterns. It could mean that you'd prefer open-ended sessions to explore deeper themes that've started popping up in your life. Or perhaps you're looking for a safe space to talk about something bad that's happened. I build a safe and productive space for us to work within, whatever the case may be.
I provide effective and collaborative therapy tailored to meet each person's needs. I am a licensed psychologist specializing in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. I am expert in: trauma, anxiety, parenting skills training - especially for parents of adoptive children and/or with behavior problems, and affirming care for LGBTQ+ (especially transgender) clients. Personal identities/experiences: I am biracial (Filipina and White), the daughter of an immigrant, a foster-to-adopt (and bio) mom, and a cisgender woman. Outside of providing therapy, I work as a researcher and professor. What I offer: Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent skills training, evidence-based & collaborative treatment for those affected by trauma and/or discrimination, short- or long-term therapy, clinical supervision for psychology trainees, goal-oriented treatment tailored to your identities and cultures. I currently have telehealth openings! Please email me to find a time to connect. My fee is $300 per session and I provide superbills.
I specialize in helping individuals with depression, life transitions, grief and loss, and trauma recovery. I also work with many clients experiencing anxiety and challenges with perfectionism. Additionally, I work with individuals struggling with relationship or intimacy challenges.
I am a queer cis white Ashkenazi Jewish woman providing therapy for individuals and people in relationships (such as; couples, poly relationships, siblings, housemates, friends). I have over 15 years' experience working with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in community health, drop-in centers, schools and private practice settings. My approach aims to provide a space that is welcoming of any issues (there is no right or wrong thing to talk about in therapy). I see therapy as a place to get to know ourselves more and identify our needs as well as how to express them to others. I also see therapy as a place for exploration, of identities, how we think and feel about ourselves, and a place to explore goals. It can be a place to improve handling of anxiety when it comes up, how to communicate boundaries to others, and improve the ability to feel organized and focused. Therapy can support processing of experiences of social stress; like understanding the impact of privilege and marginalization on one's day to day life. And how to support oneself while experiencing it. For people interested in relationship therapy or in relationships; the therapy can provide a place for identifying wants and needs, finding compromise, when necessary, improving communication and growing in one's ability to understand each other and improve navigation of conflict.

Accepting new patients.....It is through therapy that we come to understand how our experiences make our lives meaningful. Choosing a therapist isn't an easy task; I hope sharing my perspective helps. Over the last decade I have worked at universities, elementary schools, rehabilitation centers and group homes with children and adults from 7-70. These experiences have shown me that the right environment activates our innate capacity to mature and thrive. Therapy is not about "fixing" someone, it's about creating a space that supports growth. My approach embraces the power of personality to facilitate change. Through active listening, I acknowledge the impact of personal experiences and encourage exploration. Like exercising - regular, creative dialogue yields new strengths and abilities. In this way, individuals find their own solutions that are often more personalized than CBT. As you search for a therapist, consider me - I think you'll find me accessible, pragmatic, and insightful.

I am a staff psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and faculty member at Harvard Medical School. I provide individual therapy for adults and have experience working with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. My goal is to create a warm and genuinely accepting environment in order for you to feel comfortable collaborating with me to tackle your stressors together. I generally utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT), integrating other evidence-based theoretical orientations as needed to provide personalized treatment based on your needs and preferences. I prioritize using strengths-based, trauma-informed, multiculturally sensitive methodology. Effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist. Please reach out so I can support you on your journey. If I am not the right fit for you, I am happy to give you referrals so you can find the best therapist for you!
I am experienced in working with adults that are dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationship issues, and life transitional stress. I believe that everyone has the strength to dig deeper into their psyche and understand themselves better. I recognize how different environmental factors can induce feelings of loneliness, and I can help provide a space that feels open, non-judgmental, and safe for all kinds of expression. My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I integrate various behavioral and mindfulness based interventions in my practice, tailoring my style to best meet my clients’ needs. Through humor and introspective conversations, I believe in building a genuine connection that propels healing and growth. As an immigrant and a woman of color, I recognize that mental health stigma can limit asking for help. I ensure a culturally competent lens and hope we can work together on this journey of finding that inner strength and wisdom.
