Svetlana Skornyakov

I have always had a desire to help others! And working in the field of mental health has provided an avenue for that. I consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to impact the lives of other people in positive ways and to guide each person on their own unique journey to overcome challenges and reach their own potential. In my sessions I prioritize creating a safe and trusting environment by demonstrating empathy, reflecting emotions, asking clarifying questions and focusing on the client’s perspective and needs. I believe that trust is built over time. I encourage clients to be patient with the therapeutic process and express my desire to help and support them in any way they might need. I invite them to provide any type of feedback to me about our relationship and the process itself and assure them that it is always welcomed and encouraged.
