Irene Van
At times, the weight of the world can be overwhelming. We may grow up believing that we are not enough and that we have to be perfect. We may have inherited messages from our family or from society that puts us down, especially if we come from a marginalized identity. This can make us feel hopeless or ungrounded and we may act out in ways that we aren't proud of. Other times, we try to fit into a mold that was never suited for us.
In therapy, my hope is to help you examine those messages and release what no longer serves you. We will look at intergenerational trauma and the impacts of systems of oppression. We will honor your strengths and the healing tools that have always existed within you. Together, we will explore ways for you to lead a more grounded, purposeful life that aligns with your values for yourself and your community.
My approach is collaborative, playful, and based in deep inquiry into the root causes of your suffering. I hope to collaborate with you and be a deep witness and guide to your healing journey.
